I've been busy, but WTF?
Megatrade. On August 24... AGon, Crawford, and Beckett (and Punto) and a whole bunch of money gone for a crappy 1st baseman and two deep prospects. Most of the guys at Over The Monster are pretty happy about it as it frees up a ton of salary for the next few years... but I don't know.
Over in Derby, Oly just pulled a ridiculously crass move, transferring over a ton of great skaters just in time to be in the Nationals tournament. They don't have very strong rules in place to prevent this so it's not illegal in any way, just lousy.
Sports are depressing right now as the Pirates are also pooping the bed after what finally looked like a winning season.
But, you know, I got married and had a great honeymoon with an amazing girl, so who cares? :)
